Bootleg Collectors
This was our "Monster" debut CD. Check out the snazzy toon cover to an old bit, drawn by a semi-lifelong artistic pal, T. Daniel Hofstedt. Due to Eddie's budding agoraphobia, we followed the CD with the official "Stoodio Tour" & played to crowds of several, before turning up the air & dropping Snaz back at his apartment. We also recorded an early demo version of "Bad Recession Blues", with musical pals Paulie Kallestad on Hammond B3 organ, Erol "Turk" Turker & the late-great Tony Gage on guitars, Wayne Ahlberg on bass, & Fred Howard on drums. We cut the track along with our original line-up, at a very cool studio in the San Fernando Valley just down the hall from where the Earth, Wind, & Fire horns were hittin' a high note. Memorably from this package, one of our earliest cuts, "Livin' A Lie", was showcased in a reality TV pilot featuring yours truly, on camera, with rising TV star, Mario Lopez. So we mixed up a storm, packed the van, & were on our way. We just weren't too sure where we were "on our way" to. --BC
